Contents
We want The Upgrade Library to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification and reduced-motion settings.
01Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across the website. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-off audit, and is considered whenever we add or change pages.
02What we do on this site
- Semantic headings, landmarks and descriptive link text
- Full keyboard operability with visible focus states
- Text alternatives for meaningful images
- Colour contrast checked against WCAG AA thresholds
- Motion reduced automatically when your device requests it
- Layouts that reflow to 320px without loss of content or function
03Our digital playbooks
Playbooks are supplied as PDFs with structured text, so they can be read aloud, searched, resized and reflowed in most readers. Where a diagram carries essential information, the surrounding text describes it. If you need a playbook in a different format — larger text, plain text or an alternative file type — contact us and we will provide one where reasonably possible at no extra cost.
04Known limitations
Some cover artwork is decorative and intentionally not described in detail. Complex tables in a small number of templates may be harder to navigate with a screen reader; we can supply an alternative version on request while we improve them.
05Feedback
If you encounter a barrier, please tell us at hello@theupgradelibrary.com with the page address and a short description of the problem, including the assistive technology you use. We aim to respond within five working days and to explain what we can do and by when.
